Xbox Kinect (video review)
Flying under the radar at E3 is the smaller, faster and larger capacity Xbox 360 built in with 802.11n Wi-Fi. Still not impressed? Dig deeper and you’ll find Microsoft is offering the MS Kinect Xbox Kinect ($149) remote motion controls to compete with Ninento’s Wii. The game changer is that the Xbox Kinect will sense player movement through a slender bar that sits near the television. Players use natural gestures to move characters onscreen without having to rely on traditional controllers. Built-in voice-recognition software turns the device into a truly hands-free controller. Want to answer the door while watching a DVD? Say "Xbox, pause," get your friend, then just ask it to "play" and you're back in business.
